Olympics Update: A Successful Start
All three Blue Devils have won their first contest, some even in stunning fashion.
South Sudan, Africa's lone Olympic basketball team, stunned Puerto Rico by 11 points. Incoming Duke star, Khaman Maluach played 6 minutes, and scored 2 points in the South Sudan victory. He had 2 rebounds.
Jayson Tatum is the only former Blue Devil competing for the United States this year, yet Steve Kerr did not play Jayson Tatum, intentionally in a victory against Serbia. After the game though, Kerr told ESPN that he "felt like an idiot" not playing Tatum.
RJ Barrett, on the other hand, led Canada to a 86-79 victory, while leading the team with 23 points. Barrett played 32 minutes, also leading the team in minutes.
