GET TO KNOW THE DUKE STARTERS THIS YEAR...

Duke Fan Zone is ready for the college basketball season... Which is less than 1 month away! We've decided who we think the starters are, and now we want you to get to know them!

1: POINT GUARD- Jeremy Roach...

Jeremy Roach | goduke.com

Jeremy Roach is a 5-star recruit from Washington, DC, and choose Duke over 3 different schools- Kentucky, UNC, and Villanova. Jeremy is the #18 recruit of 2020, according to ESPN's 100 rankings for this year. He was the McDonalds All-American for 2020, and won a few gold metals with USA basketball. Jeremy is also the #4 Point Guard in America.

2: SHOOTING GUARD- Wendell Moore...

Wendell Moore | goduke.com

Wendell Moore, a Sophomore from Charlotte, NC, is ready to score a lot. Last year, Wendell Moore started 11 times, and averaged 7.4 points per game. His career high was against Wake Forest scoring 25 points. In that game, he also played all 40 minutes. Although he might've scored Duke 2 points well, you can't really say the same about 3 pointers. The most 3-pointers he hit in a game, was 1, when he attempted 3 in that game. Wendell Moore didn't start a lot last year, but he'll get more playing time this year.

3: SMALL FORWARD- Jalen Johnson...

Jalen Johnson | goduke.com

Jalen Johnson, a 5 star recruit from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is probably going to be Duke's best player. He's ranked #12 in ESPN's 100, and #4 in his position. You can see from the picture above, that he's strong. He choose Duke over Arizona, Kentucky, and Wisconsin. Jalen Johnson also is #1 is ESPN's 100 from Wisconsin.

4: POWER FORWARD- Matthew Hurt...

Matthew Hurt | goduke.com

Matthew Hurt, a Sophomore from Rochester, Minnesota, will get more playing time this year. Last year, he averaged roughly 10 points a game. His career high was 25 points on game, where he played a full 40 minutes.

5: CENTER- Mark Williams...

Mark Williams | goduke.com

Mark Williams is a 4-star center from Norfolk, Virginia, and dominated his high-school games. He averaged 23 points a game, and 12 rebounds a game. Will the stats be similar at Duke? I don't really think so... his high school was IMG Academy, and you don't really know who he was playing.

Those were the predicted starters for this year. I hope you got the chance to know the starters better, and GO DUKE!
